I’ve never had an opportunity to watch a live event of smth I really wanted due to living in the middle of nowhere. What’s in your wishlist?
I didn’t know anyone was planning on executing a bunch of artists.
I’ll allow 3 to live, the rest are done for
Never going to happen without time travel but I’d love to have seen Queen with Freddie live. That man had some serious stage presence.
For me:
- Bob Dylan
- Hadestown
- Phantom of the Opera
- Steven Wright
- James Acaster
I want to see Björk at some point. Seems realistic, even though it’s expensive. But I should get on it because she might retire in a few years.
Highly recommended. She doesn’t miss a note.
Glenn Miller and his orchestra
The Glenn Miller Orchestra still tours, although obviously none of the members are original. A friend of mine used to play organ/piano for them.

FurtherMore back when he was still rapping
-
Nineteen Forty-Five
-
hell, Amy Ray when she had ⅔ of 1945 as her backup band
-
Lifter Puller in Minneapolis
-
Atmosphere at the Empty Bottle

Idles, Ghost, Wind Rose, and Parquet Courts. For musicians who are no longer around, definitely John Coltrane and Audioslave/Soundgarden. They all seem like they put on a hell of a show and the people who listen to them seem to not be assholes for the most part.

Probably Elton John
Daft Punk 🥲
I’ve done my share of live concerts when I was younger. Saw Depeche Mode, The Rolling Stones, U2, Duran Duran, my wife dragged me to see NSYNC (never again), and we took our kid to see The Wiggles. These days I have no urge to see any band live. Part of it is me getting older (get off my lawn!) but mainly it’s because the cost of concerts skyrocketed 'cause of TicketScamster.
If I could go back in time, I’d definitely want to see The Beatles. Also I’d love to have been in Helsinki in 2005 at the Nightwish’s “End of an Era” concert.
If Stone Temple Pilots ever does that acoustic tour focusing on their softer songs they cancelled due to COVID (they’ve toured since but not that particular idea.) Perdida is one of my favorite “post-prime” albums from any band, and in general STP’s softer material is what makes them one of my favorites.
I’ll go to see My Chemical Romance if they put out a new album.
David Gilmour.
Weezer in a theater (I went to the Hella Mega Tour but Weezer I’ve heard is way better in a theater than an arena.)
Radiohead. I’ve been a fan since I heard them on the BBC Radio 1 show “The evening session” on the early 90’s, and I’ve loved every album.
Each time I had a chance to see them something got in the way. Usually a financial situation.
One day I’ll get to see them.
Teslas experiments in Colorado Springs. Also the only reason to ever go to the Springs.
They have a Whataburger there, so there’s that.
Having lived a number of years in Texas, having a Whataburger isn’t reason enough to get me to go anywhere. So overrated.
Having lived in Texas for something like 29 years, I must respectfully disagree. Unless you have a Five Guys around, Whataburger is about as good as fast food gets.
