After learning that soup is sterilized in the canning process and doesn’t actually need to be reheated, I pretty much always just eat it straight from the can. It saves dishes and microwave time, and makes it extremely easy to just grab and go if I need something for the road.
But, somewhat understandably, I haven’t met anyone else who does this.
Don’t eat from the can. The inside of the can is lined with plastic, so if you heat the can itself the plastic will leach into your food.
You know that the food is cooked in the sealed can at the factory, right?
I watched a documentary about the heinz factory and that was one of the surprising facts I took away from it.
I guess I didn’t know that. Yikes. I’m glad I don’t eat many canned goods.
Oh, I don’t heat it at all, I just eat it room temperature
Oh! Interesting. Eating cold soup out of the can sure is a vibe. Way to be yourself!
“way to be yourself” is a great backhanded compliment haha
