Of then they should probably get the fuck out of America. This place will kill you fast
Oh then get a quadruple bypass since you’re in America
Idk? Boob job? Dental work? Extra set of arms? I wouldn’t know
So I had bottom surgery two months prior, bed bug treatment like a week or two prior, and was just returning to work like the next day after moving the furniture. Also I couldn’t afford movers and had no friends helping because it was 2021. Thankfully I had my now wife with me, but it was two women moving an hour away.
Or it may have been like two months later when due to unfortunate chance + adhd my landlord thought we abandoned the place when we finally started moving into a new place and threw away the blanket my mom used while dying.
Lovely people, amazing history, real shame about the politics. Also sorry about what my country did to yours. I hear your country is gorgeous.
Something like $100/week for two draws. But it was like 6 years ago in Kentucky
Honolulu
I donated blood for many years, starting the first day I was allowed (mom took me). I’ve been an organ donor from the day I was able and am loud about that. And for a few months after college I sold plasma for money. It definitely felt scummy, but I think it’s ultimately a good thing, though it is selling part of your body to a for profit company at a rate that’s pretty bad. So the cons are really that it definitely feels seedier than whole blood donation and that the phlebotomists are worse. I can’t donate blood anymore because they gave me a track mark and I can’t risk my other elbow’s veinous access.
But it got me through a rough time
Chinese communism seems very much to be born of a fusion of USSR and Chinese imperial styles. But one important thing to remember about communist revolutions between 1918 and the 1990s is that the USSR played a major role in a lot of them. This is where you see such things as the betrayal in Catalonia and massive splits in western leftism as Marxist-Leninists and Maoists had backing and anarchists didn’t.
It’s an authoritarian thing. A lot of the rebels against the USSR were communists (most notably the red navy’s rebellion at Kronstadt). It’s a shame that communism has become synonymous to much of the world with the authoritarianism of some of its’ factions.
Because we’re a social species that often checks ourselves off of those around us. Sometimes it’s unhealthy, but often it’s an attempt to maintain tribe status and to safeguard against misperception.
First aid specifically aimed at the sorts of injuries that one risks by protesting. A prime example is tear gas.
Not exactly but my wife’s background in protest medicine is one of the first things that drew me to her
King James. His persecution of women caused centuries of problems
Some grow wiser, but one of the lessons of my 20s has been you have to do it on purpose. I’m not wiser than I was 5 years ago on accident.
That’s very true. I routinely change the parts of me I love. I try to make them better. I’m a kind and loving person, but I’m trying to change that from a selfless form to a self preserving form. To know my limits and stop pouring from an empty cup.
I’ve never seen someone come out of the closet at 50 and remark that they’re glad they took their time
Get out and make friends. Yes I know it gets harder as you get older, but it’s often the difference between dying alone and demented young and sticking around and finding happiness until your body gives out.
Also, remember your grandparents and parents from time to time after they’re gone. It hurts but it’s good for you.
I once had an HR lady who seemed fun, the type you could have a beer with. She was so bad at her job that she was having casual hookups with employees.
The problem with HR is that if you’re liking them they’re probably not doing their job all that well
