Please don’t put your straw wrapper or paper napkins in your drink cup. I can pour the ice/liquid into the drain but have to fish out the soggy paper bits.

I wouldn’t call any extinction event a favorite, because it is a loss. An interesting one that is less known than the Dodo is that the wake island rail bird was hunted to extinction by starving Japanese soldiers in WWII. The Americans blockaded the island, trapping the Japanese there, and they ate all the birds in just a couple years time.

I think it’s an interesting extinction because it’s an unintended casualty of war.

I’m a Bernie fan too, but Diane Feinstein bothered me in multiple ways. She was infirm and senile for years but still chose to run for reelection when she and her staff knew she had multiple health problems. Her aids were telling her how to vote, but the voters didn’t elect them, and who knows who’s interests they represented. Her stubbornness to not retire was a disservice to Californians. I also have concerns that Mitch McConnell is doing a similar disservice to the state of Kentucky with his health problems due to age.

Bernie still has his mental faculties, and could still inspire, and sway representatives while being out of office. I would listen to him, and think progressive representatives would as well.

It depends what you’re using. If you’re smoking weed, give yourself two weeks notice to take a break from it for two weeks. Just start with a two week commitment and see how it feels.

If you’re using opiates or something that causes withdrawal, get advice from a medical professional. There may be medicine that can help with withdrawals, and you need to know the risks involved with detoxing.
