Im running my 2015 mbp on the newest macOS and it’s still quite okay.
Only thing keeping my windows partition alive is the pain it seems to be to set up sim racing gear and games and servers on Linux.

I never really gave gnome a chance until I came across bluefin recently. I was pleasantly surprised but the lack of customizability always drives me away in the long run. Im not against opinionated design, their opinion on how things should be just seems to differ from my own.
I rembember adding an extra / to dev when using dd. I think I still haven’t fixed that system.
Yeah I mean mine isn’t fast but it’s still usable imo. The MacBook air 2012 was already particularly bad in its lifetime, I remember doing it support for the company I was working for at the time and the air 2012 were only used for lightweight stuff but already so slow.
