Not an American, I would guess that blackface in particular looks more like a roughly made mock. And then I can see why mocking others based on skin colour can be seen as racist.

I would say that tanning usually looks more natural (even in failed cases), that’s why it would not be seen as racism, in worst case it would look like a person made a laughing stock of themselves in case of poorly applied tanner.

Then again, it is still just a guess, as I am not from the US

It’s wild for me how different that peer pressure in the line is in different countries. In Spain people would even try to make you slow down and take your time when they notice how stressed you are with trying to pack everything fast 🥲 that’s very considerate of them

Unfortunately, it’s possible if the project is small. Also, even if it’s big, people will be left with clones in different states and of different times, and it will require some coordination to put everything in order again.

So to sum up, people will be forced to waste time, which also may be the goal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
