You need to plan ahead for that, and executing it is risky for data loss.
I chose the dual boot option when I decided to switch a year ago, and I found myself rarely using Windows eventhough it is installed on my laptop. I might have only boot it up 3-4 times since the switch, for GFN not working properly with ALT when running through browser. The dual boot just make my disk partition needlessly complicated, and I’m going to reinstall it yet again, without Windows.
Not successful. They don’t even try to understand why I use a “non-standard” OS like a “unicorn” trying to be “unique,” let alone try it.
Surprising to see after the CrowdStrike debacle.
That “ethical” is problematic. What considered to be ethical is very subjective to the culture context.
Edit: better wording
Thanks for the hint. I followed and checked: safe

Except the directory structure is totally gone. At least I can’t see it with either by mounting or with archive software.
Tried. They only release it for Windows, or a bootable ISO, which I can’t see what files are in there. I also tried getting the firmware from LVFS but I’m not sure if I done it right as non of them start with "EFI " header (which I assume that’s the file I should be looking at).
ctrl+alt+f1 get to tty and install back those uninstalled?
No, OP absolutely still need staggered rollout. Immutable distros are a blue-green deployment self-contained. Yet, all the instance can upgrade and switch all at once and break all of them. OP still need some rollout strategy externally to prevent the whole service being brought down.
No registration nor email needed
You don’t pass in Makefile
to make
as it will read that file automatically. Nor you need sudo
with make
as compiling doesn’t need any special privileges.
Step:
make
: compile the code to binarysudo make install
: install the binary to your systemMore or less applies to Apple and most companies.
I don’t know if I “hate” Windows but more like “I’m done dealing it.” I might come and use it time to time, but only when absolutely necessary, and the mental capacity to remove things I don’t need and make sure its removed.
What FS you’re on? I’m using BTRFS and have the same problem. Simply because disk analyzer doesn’t read snapshots.
On features ZeroTier > Tailscale, but the existance of headscale and ionscale brings me back all because ZeroTierOne is BSL, aka not FOSS.
It is quite a bloat. Llama3 7B is 4.7GB by itself, not counting all the dependencies and drivers. This can easily take 10+ GB of the drive. My Ollama setup takes about 30GB already. Given a single application (except games like COD that takes up 300GB), this is huge, almost the size of a clean OS install.
Meta+arrows key to shift windows around
Or is the key call Super? I know for sure it’s the “Windows” key.
